Illegal Substance Policy

University Policy states:

Students who violate this policy will be referred to the Office of Residence Life, the Office of Student Accountability and Conflict Response, and/or University Police.

The Residence Hall policy states:

Residential areas include: room, common area, common building, building entryway, or quad area immediately adjacent to the residence halls.

The use, possession, and distribution of cannabis is prohibited on campus and is a violation of the Code of Conduct and the Residence Hall contract. This includes medical marijuana/cannabis and synthetically-derived cannabis products such as Delta-8 and Delta-10.

Penn State is required to follow federal laws that classify cannabis, medical marijuana, and synthetically-derived cannabinoids as illegal Schedule I controlled substances.

FDA approved drugs (e. g., Marinol®. Syndros®, Epidolex®) are permitted with a valid prescription.
