Combining Alcohol with Other Drugs

You have probably seen warnings about the dangers of mixing alcohol with various types of medications. The danger is real and we want you to be well informed about the health effects of combining alcohol with caffeine, prescription, and non-prescription drugs.

Alcohol can make some medication less effective or even useless. It can even make the medication harmful or toxic to your body. If you choose to drink alcohol and have questions about drinking while taking medications, talk with your healthcare professional.
